Oil Tankers have made a remarkable comeback in 2022 despite the problems in China. Their oil imports rose again putting the annual import volumes at a similar level to Last year.
LNG remains on max but it’s interesting to see that Europe are now importing way more than Asia however with a mild start to winter in Europe we expect demand to taper off. LPG demand continues to rise into Asia with over 100 ships more heading to Asia than this time last year.
Chemical tankers have made a growth comeback similar to product tankers. Paraxylene/Xylene has reduced significantly in October despite a strong year. Methonal has also been declining for many months.
Despite the conflict in Ukraine, net effect for vegetable oils appears to even. Palm Oil exports have been partiulary strong in recent months.
