Summary:

August was another good month for Dry Bulk trade. The BDI fell off the peak off 1894 on 3rd July which was the highest reading this year thus far. Nethertheless August was still a robust month reflected in the fact tonne mile demand was the same as last year. This is quite astonishing considering the Coronavirus devastation. The downside mainly comes from coal which was 4% down compare to August last year. However, construction, agriculture and Fertiliser trade were much higher.
