Tradeviews was founded by maritime professionals who had spent careers at shipowners, brokers and research desks, working with cargo trade data that was — frankly — disjointed and poorly served by the industry.
Our founders saw what a properly structured, properly modelled view of global tradeflow could do for the people making real freight decisions. So we built one. Over a decade later, that platform serves owners, operators and research desks across dry bulk and tanker markets.
During the COVID era we extended the platform with cargo forecasting — going back to commodity-balance fundamentals rather than the top-down models the industry had been content with. That decision shapes the platform to this day, and is something we're proud of.
