## What makes us different

- **Customs data foundation, not AIS-only.** Customs records are consistent, complete, and capture each cargo twice. AIS is useful for activity but unreliable for cargo identification and volume.
- **Fundamentals-up forecasting.** We model demand from production, imports, exports, stock change and consumption — country by country. Slower to build than regression on past rates, but the resulting forecasts are defensible.
- **Tonne-days as the unit of vessel demand.** Captures ballast legs and port time that distance-only tonne-mile models ignore.
